USE OF ENTRY TAGS AND CARGO MANIFOLD TAGS

Each vessel will be supplied with the following:

1. Entry tag holders, with “DO NOT ENTER” marking – one for each tank.


2. Cargo tag holders, with “DO NOT USE” marking – one for each tank manifold.


3. Entry tag holders will have three inserts:
a. SAFE CONDITION
b. NITROGEN HAZARD
c. ENTRY PERMIT


4. Manifold Cargo tag holder will have one insert:
a. CARGO TAG


5. Plastic folder for “ENCLOSED SPACE ENTRY PERMITS”: one for each tank.


6. Plastic board with cargo tank lay out.


7. Small clear plastic holders to be pasted on the tank layout board.


8. Three small size inserts for each tank.
a. DO NOT ENTER
b. NITROGEN HAZARD
c. SAFE CONDITION


9. Two tubes of Super glue to paste the small plastic holders on to the tank layout board.

HOW TO USE

The Entry tag holders to be permanently secured/ posted near the cargo tank entrance. They will continuously display “DO NOT ENTER”.

If the tank atmosphere is under Nitrogen, NITROGEN HAZARD insert should be displayed.

When tank has been gas freed and safe for entry, SAFE CONDITION insert should be displayed. Also the company Enclosed Space Entry Permit should be displayed nearby in the plastic folder.

The ENTRY PERMIT insert should be updated every time someone is entering the tank.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE PROCEDURES ARE IN ADDITON TO THE EXISTING COMPANY PROCEDURES OF CHECKING AND FILLING ENTRY PERMITS FOR EACH TANK.

The tank layout board should be permanently posted in the Cargo Control Room or the alleyway just outside the CCR.
